Technical side, nothing too complicated-just a few key things
- Accurate cutting - it's servo-driven, so when it cuts, the length is pretty spot on, within about ±0.5 mm. You can set anything from 0.3 m up to 12 m, just adjust it on the screen.
- Welding speed and strength - it uses high-frequency resistance welding. The contact points fuse quickly, and it can handle around 25 to 40 rows a minute. The welds come out strong enough for most uses.
- Automatic stacking - once the mesh is done, it gets stacked automatically, either by a conveyor or a robotic arm. It can sort by size or batch, and it keeps count too.
- Temperature control - the machine keeps an eye on the electrode temperature and adjusts it on the fly. That way it doesn't overheat, and the electrodes last longer.
- Position control - the PLC and servo system work together to keep everything lined up. Spacing stays pretty consistent.
Design-wise, it's mainly about being easier to use
It can store over 100 sets of parameters, so when switching jobs, you just load the settings instead of setting everything again.
Real-time checking - you can add a vision system to monitor welds and spacing. If something's off, the machine flags it and logs the data. Saves you from having to watch it all the time.
It works with most wires in the 3 to 16 mm range, like round bars and deformed bars. Some models can also handle slightly more complex mesh shapes, like diamond or wave patterns. Width can go up to around 3.5 meters, and length is adjustable depending on the job.
Where you'll usually see it used
Tunnel support mesh - it can make diamond-shaped mesh, mostly used in mines, subway tunnels, that kind of environment. Main job is to hold things in place and keep it safe.
Storage racks - it can weld stainless steel mesh with pretty solid load capacity, around 1 ton per square meter. Works fine for warehouse shelves, especially automated ones.
Fencing - using galvanized wire with anti-corrosion treatment, it's good for livestock fencing or even fish farming cages.
Power facilities - it can also make conductive mesh, like copper shielding mesh, used in substations to help block electromagnetic interference.
