Steel Cage Rolling Welding Machine
Also known as a steel cage forming machine, it is an automated device controlled by a PLC, primarily used for processing and producing steel cages for bridges, high-speed railways, and similar projects. The equipment sets stirrup spacing parameters via the PLC program, controls the rotating disk, and achieves synchronous winding and welding of the main bars and wound bars, effectively replacing the traditional manual binding process.
The system consists of 12 core components, including the dragging guide rail, control console, main reinforcement frame, and hydraulic support device. It adopts proprietary control technology and can automatically produce steel cages ranging in length from 2 to 27 meters.
Steel Cage Winding Machine
The reinforcement cage winding machine is a specialized automatic device for processing reinforcement cages. It is mainly used for forming reinforcement cages in construction, bridge, and other engineering projects.
Its core function is to fix the main reinforcement bars, then mechanically drive the winding reinforcement (stirrups) to wrap around the outer side of the main bars at a set spacing, completing welding or binding simultaneously to form a finished reinforcement cage.
The equipment uses a PLC control system, which allows precise setting of parameters such as winding spacing and speed, thereby reducing manual errors. Compared with traditional manual binding, it significantly improves production efficiency (by approximately 3 to 5 times), reduces labor costs, and produces reinforcement cages with more uniform structures and greater quality stability.
Steel Cage Welding Workstation
The reinforcement cage workstation is an automated production system that integrates the fabrication and processing of reinforcement cages. It combines winding machines, rolling welders, feeding racks, and other equipment to enable assembly-line operations, including main reinforcement feeding, stirrup winding, and cage forming through welding.
Centrally controlled by a PLC, it precisely adjusts processing parameters and supports the production of cages in various specifications. Compared with decentralized processing, it reduces process transition time, improves efficiency by more than 30%, ensures component consistency, reduces labor intensity, and is well-suited for mass production in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Working principle
According to the construction requirements, the main bars of the steel cage are fixed by manually inserting them through the corresponding circular holes in the fixed rotating plate and into the matching holes of the mobile rotating plate. The ends of the coil bars (winding bars) are first welded to a main bar. Then, the winding bars are wrapped around the main bars through the coordinated rotation of the fixed and mobile rotating plates (with the mobile plate rotating while moving backward), during which welding is performed simultaneously. In this way, the finished steel cage is formed.

Maintenance tips
Maintenance of the steel cage forming machine should focus on regular inspection and daily upkeep. Inspect gears, chains, and other transmission components weekly. Replace worn parts promptly and apply grease as needed. If the guide wheels or rollers become stuck, clean them and apply lubricating oil，replace them if the condition is severe.
If the equipment makes abnormal noises, stop the machine immediately. The cause may be a lack of lubrication or a damaged bearing, requiring oil replenishment or bearing replacement. It may also be due to a loose component, in which case the bolts should be tightened.
When welding quality is poor, remove spatter from the welding torch, adjust the wire feed speed, current, and voltage, and calibrate the position of the welding torch.
Clean steel bar debris and dust from the machine after each workday, especially in the welding area. Sliding parts should be regularly coated with anti-rust oil ，the hydraulic system should be refilled with oil as needed, and the filter element should be replaced annually.
