Maintenance, Care, and Precautions

 

1. It is strictly prohibited to plug in, unplug, or touch the power-regulating handle of the welded wire mesh power transformer while it is energized. Lifting the protective plate is also forbidden. Do not disassemble or touch the neutral (grounding) protection wires of the main unit or the electrical control cabinet. Their integrity should be inspected regularly. When the upper electrode is under pressure and in motion, it is strictly forbidden for hands or objects to approach the electrode or extend between the upper and lower electrodes.

 

2. Rolling friction components such as bearings, sliders, and chains should be lubricated with oil in a timely manner. Operation without lubrication is prohibited. Lubrication should preferably be performed after the machine has stopped. For components that must be lubricated during operation, a drip-feed method should be used to prevent contact with moving mechanisms. When severe wear or pitting occurs on the upper and lower electrodes and affects weld quality, timely maintenance and adjustment are required. Chromium–zirconium copper electrodes that cannot be repaired must be replaced.

 

3. When there are no warp or weft wires present, it is strictly prohibited to connect the welding power supply and start the machine, in order to prevent damage to the electrodes or the electrical control system caused by short-circuit current. Oil stains and dust should be regularly removed from components such as transformers and circuit boards (compressed air may be used). When the power is off, use a 500V–1000V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance of the 220V control circuit, and use a multimeter set to the ×10K range to ensure there is no leakage in the low-voltage and signal circuits.
