Composition and Functions of the Production Line
The sawing thread grinding production line is a complex yet orderly system, composed of multiple core parts working in coordination, each undertaking unique and crucial functions.
Feeding mechanism and raw material storage rack: The starting end of the line is equipped with feeding mechanisms such as raw material racks and steel bar conveyor racks. These structures are designed to hoist and transport the steel bars to be processed, including various round bars and threaded bars, onto the line. Raw material storage racks usually adopt a large-tonnage design, accommodating large quantities of steel bars. When combined with an automatic bar feeder, batching for the next cycle can begin before the previous cycle finishes, greatly reducing processing time and improving efficiency.
Sawing system: The conveyor line delivers the bars smoothly to the sawing machine. Sawing machines often adopt a gantry-type structure, such as CNC band saws, which provide powerful sawing capability. They feature fast cutting speed, narrow kerf width, and high-quality sawing results. The conveyor then transports the sawn bars to the next station.
Threading system: The automatic flipping device turns the sawn bars and conveys them to the threading station. Typically, two threading machines are used, arranged on the No. 1 and No. 2 threading roller conveyors. The threading unit adopts advanced technology and performs automatic clamping, feeding, necking, and thread rolling at the bar ends. For small-diameter bars, the upsetting process can thicken the head, increasing thread diameter and connection strength, thereby meeting diverse project requirements for reinforcing bar connection strength.
Grinding system: After threading, the bars are automatically conveyed to the grinding station. Two grinding machines are usually installed on the No. 1 and No. 2 grinding roller tracks. Their function is to grind the uneven ends of the threaded bars, ensuring smooth and flat surfaces that meet engineering standards. This guarantees close fitting during connection and improves overall reliability.
Work Process
Steel bar loading: Workers hoist steel bars onto the loading conveyor or raw material rack to prepare for processing.
Parameter setting and startup: The operator enters the main interface on the touch screen of the electrical control system. Based on specifications and quantities, they set process parameters, then start the automatic mode. The line then runs automatically.
Sawing process: Bars are conveyed to the sawing machine, which quickly and accurately cuts them to length. The sawn bars are then transferred to the discharge conveyor.
Threading process: The flipping device transfers the bars to the threading machine, which automatically clamps and processes them according to the preset procedure.
Grinding process: Threaded bars are conveyed to the grinding machine, which smooths the ends to meet quality requirements.

The sawing thread grinding production line, with its advanced technology, efficient production capacity, high-precision quality, and significant cost advantages, is reshaping the construction steel bar processing industry. It has become an important driver of intelligence, standardization, and efficiency, and will play an increasingly vital role in future construction projects.
