Although mainstream CNC steel bar bending centers are classified into single-head, dual-head, and multi-head models, their core structures and working principles are highly unified. Taking the most widely used dual-head CNC steel bar bending center as an example, its structure and operation process are as follows:

01
Feeding and conveying system:
Composed of a lifting feeding frame, a feeding guide plate, and a servo feeding roller. The feeding roller is made of wear-resistant rubber, and its rotational speed is precisely controlled by a servo motor to ensure that the conveying speed of the steel bars matches the required length. The guide plate can automatically correct the position of the reinforcing bars, preventing bending errors caused by offset. It is suitable for bars of different diameters ranging from 6 to 40 mm.
02
Bending forming system:
Includes two independently operating bending heads, high-strength bending spindles, and a quick mold change mechanism. The bending spindle is made of 45# steel through quenching and tempering treatment (hardness HRC28–32) and can withstand a maximum bending torque of 1200–3000 N·m. Even when processing large-diameter reinforcing bars of 32–40 mm, it will not deform. The molds are secured by quick fixtures, allowing replacement within 5 to 10 minutes to meet the processing requirements of various bar specifications.
03
Numerical control system:
Equipped with an industrial-grade touch screen and PLC chip, it contains over 100 built-in steel bar forming templates (such as beam bars, stirrups, and hooks). It supports CAD graphic import and custom parameter settings. Operators do not need professional programming knowledge-they can simply select the desired program on the screen. The system is also equipped with an emergency stop button and photoelectric guardrails. When a person approaches the working area, the machine automatically stops. With a protection level of IP54, it is suitable for the complex environments of construction sites.
04
Fuselage support system:
Adopts a welded frame made of section steel that undergoes aging treatment to eliminate welding stress and ensure rigidity. The bottom is equipped with adjustable anchor bolts to calibrate the equipment level according to the flatness of the construction site ground, preventing vibration that could affect processing accuracy. The overall protection level of the machine body is high, resisting dust and light rain.
Five-Step Workflow: Fully Automated "Processing Closed Loop"
Parameter setting:
Based on the construction drawings, the operator selects the corresponding steel bar forming template on the touch screen, inputs parameters such as bending angle (e.g., 90°, 135°), steel bar length, and quantity, then saves the program after confirmation.
Raw material feeding:
Stack the steel bars neatly on the feeding frame. After the equipment starts, the feeding frame automatically rises, and the bars enter the feeding roller group under the guidance of the guide plate.
Precise feeding:
The servo feeding roller group conveys the bars to the bending area according to the preset length. Meanwhile, the automatic centering device corrects the bar's position to ensure that the bending center is aligned with its axis.
Continuous bending:
After receiving the command, the bending head drives the die to rotate, bending the bar to the set angle. If multi-section bending is required (such as for rectangular stirrups), the feeding roller and bending head alternate to gradually complete multiple bends.
Finished product output:
After bending, the feeding roller sends the finished bars to the conveying roller track, which delivers them to the collection box. The equipment automatically counts each piece, and when the set quantity is reached, it issues an audible and visual alert before shutting down. The entire process requires no manual intervention, achieving true "one-click start and automatic completion."
