The sawing, threading, and grinding production line is an integrated steel bar processing system that combines CNC sawing technology, an automatic threading process, and a precision grinding system. It is mainly used for the standardized processing of steel bars in construction, bridge, tunnel, and other projects. It completes the entire process of steel bar processing-from fixed-length sawing and thread threading to surface grinding-through continuous automated operation. Compared with traditional manual processing, it significantly improves efficiency and processing accuracy, making it the core equipment for modern steel bar processing plants to achieve large-scale and standardized production.
Workflow: A Fully Automated "Three-Stage" Processing Mechanism
Sawing Stage
The feeding frame automatically conveys the steel bars to the CNC sawing unit. The laser positioning device precisely measures the length of the steel bars, while the servo motor drives the saw blade to cut according to the preset dimensions. The cutting error can be controlled within ±1mm.
Threading Stage
The cut steel bars are conveyed to the threading unit via the roller conveyor. The pneumatic gripper automatically clamps the steel bars, and the main spindle drives the threading die to rotate, automatically adjusting the threading depth and speed according to the steel bar specifications.
Grinding Stage
The steel bars that have completed threading enter the grinding unit. Multiple sets of grinding wheels remove burrs from the ends of the steel bars and the oxide layer on the thread surfaces from different angles. The grinding force is precisely controlled by the PLC system to ensure a smooth surface that meets the requirements for subsequent connections. Finally, the finished products are collected on the discharge rack.

Core System: Coordinated Operation of the Four Major Modules
(1) Feeding and Conveying System – The Foundation for Stable Feeding
The inclined feeding frame accommodates steel bars with diameters ranging from 12 to 40mm and lengths from 6 to 12m. The steel bars are conveyed in an orderly manner to each processing unit through the conveying mechanism, with a speed adjustable between 0 and 15m/min.
(2) CNC Sawing System – The Core of Precision Cutting
Equipped with high-speed metal circular saw blades, the system achieves a saw blade speed of up to 2800 r/min. Combined with the hydraulic feed system, it enables smooth cutting and minimizes deformation at the cut edges of the steel bars.
It adopts a touch-screen operation interface, supports presetting of multiple cutting sizes, and can store over 100 sets of processing parameters to meet diverse engineering requirements.
(3) Automatic Thread Threading System – The Key to Efficient Thread Processing
Equipped with multi-specification threading dies, which can be quickly replaced to suit different steel bar diameters, the system achieves threading efficiency of 15–20 pieces per minute (based on 25mm diameter steel bars).
(4) Precision Grinding System – Ensuring Superior Surface Quality
Multiple grinding heads are used to remove burrs from the steel bar ends and polish the thread surfaces. The rotational speed of the grinding heads can be adjusted according to the steel bar material to prevent over-grinding or thread damage.
Technical Features: Dual Advantages of Automation and Precision
High Efficiency and Automation:
The entire process requires no human intervention, achieving fully automated operations such as feeding, sawing, threading, grinding, and discharging. Compared with manual processing, efficiency is increased by 3 to 5 times, significantly reducing labor costs.
High Processing Accuracy:
The sawing length error is ±1mm. Thread dimensions comply with the GB/T 1499.2 standard. The surface roughness (Ra) of the steel bar after grinding is ≤6.3μm, meeting high-standard engineering requirements.
Flexible Adaptability:
It can process hot-rolled ribbed steel bars with diameters ranging from 12 to 40mm and lengths from 6 to 12m, supporting multiple thread specifications (such as M16, M20, M25). By adjusting parameters, processing specifications can be quickly switched to meet different project requirements.
Intelligent and Convenient Operation:
The system adopts a PLC control system equipped with a 7-inch color touch screen. The operation interface is simple and intuitive. It supports the storage and recall of processing parameters, as well as production data statistics, enabling managers to easily monitor production progress and quality.
